QUIROPRÁTICA para Pathologies

Our body, when fully functioning, has the innate ability to heal itself and recover from the challenges we face. However, this ability is diminished when there are interferences to its optimal functioning.

Chiropractic does not focus on masking symptoms or "healing" illnesses and injuries directly, but rather ensuring the optimal balance and functioning of our spine, nervous system, and body in general, and thereby allowing the body to respond and recover naturally.

Patients seek chiropractic care to help them with various conditions such as:

  • Migraines / headaches
  • Lower back pain
  • Neck pain
  • Joint pain
  • Herniated discs
  • Numbness and tingling
  • Sciatica
  • Scoliosis
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Intestinal problems
  • Loss of mobility

Several studies have looked at the effectiveness of chiropractic care for these conditions:

One study (1) involving 104 patients diagnosed with herniated cervical disc compared the improvements recorded, pain reduction and treatment costs in patients treated with spinal adjustments or analgesic injection and found better results in patients with subacute or chronic cervical pain undergoing chiropractic adjustments. 86.5% of patients who received spinal adjustments showed significant improvement, compared to 49% of those who received analgesic injections.

Another study (2) investigated the effectiveness of chiropractic in cervicogenic headache, finding a decrease in headache frequency in patients who received chiropractic treatments over 3 months. These results suggest that chiropractic may be a treatment option in patients with cervicogenic headache.
